I am a philosopher. I developed my own philosophy while I was in high school. It's called Busism.
The idea behind it is to have a socialistic society on a bus… a bit of a retro idea, but nonetheless. The bus would consist of one adventure after another. Meeting people and exploring the world in an environment that allows people to lean on each other.
At 17, I ran away from home on these principles, my rich parents didn't really get it and there was enough negativity in my childhood years to last a lifetime. Between the abuse and the manipulation, I realized that I couldn't grow there.
For a few months I was on the streets. Living from motel to motel. At one point living in a tent. Then I moved in with a couple of wonderful people for awhile and learned a lot from them. Then I tried to mend things with my parents on a personal level and they got me a house and I worked for them for a time. But again, my principles caused problems between us and I was on the street again. A couple of months later, I joined the California Conservation Corps. it seemed interesting because it promoted helping the environment. The reality of it wasn't quite so idealistic.
Now I moved in the my dad, he isn't like my other set. I'm going to college and am unsure what I'm going to do with that. But I think that idealism and believing the world can be a better place is more than worth it. Passionate living is the fullest way to live and I am unsure as to where this odyssey will take me but I continue to grow, everyday.
